Educated in printmaking, photography, painting and artistic research at schools in Sweden and England.

Leicy Olsborn Björby often works conceptually, where the process is as important a part of her creation as the final work. By mixing techniques and letting concept and context interact and guide her choice of materials and techniques, she tries to create a dialog between the viewer, the work and the process. Her art is expressed through different techniques where she works both two and three dimensionally. Sometimes the ideas are formed through collage, painting, sometimes as a pdf, a graphic print, a photo or a sculpture.

 

In addition to her work as an artist, she is also active as an atelierista (artistic supervisor), illustrator, author and lecturer.
